Mick David Barner, 37, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday May 18, 201
7 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born December 23, 1979, he was the son of George and Sue (Scritchfield
) Barner, of Harrisburg.
Mick was a 1998 graduate of Dauphin County Vo-Tech School. Over the ye
ars, he worked with his best friend, Eric, on remodeling and construct
ion projects. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to music, going t
o the beach, fixing things and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Christia
and Madeline; sister, Heather Barner and his niece, Katera, as wel
l as his paternal grandmother, Judy Barner of Harrisburg. Mick was pre
ceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Barner Jr., matern
al grandmother, Gladys Scritchfield, uncle, David Barner and aunt, Peg
gy Touloumes.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nu
ses at the MS-ICU at Harrisburg Hospital, for their genuine care an
d compassion.
An Informal Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00 t
o 4:00 P.M. on Saturday June 3, 2017 in the Fellowship Hall (Lower Lev
el) of Trinity E.C. Church, 165 N. 67th Street, (Rutherford) Harrisbur
g. Please wear casual attire.
