  Shirley A. Carstetter April 9, 2012 Williamsport Sun-Gazette Save | Shirley A. Carstetter, 72, of 2665 S. Route 44 Highway, Jersey Shore , died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at her home. Born July 6, 1939, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of Jasper H . Bower and the former Hazel L. Kennedy. Shirley is survived by her hu sband, Harry L. Carstetter Sr.; they were united in marriage June 15 , 1957, in Jersey Shore. She was retired from the Jersey Shore Hospital after many years as a n ursing assistant. Shirley enjoyed bowling, crafts, tending to her flow ers and worked as a volunteer for the American Rescue Workers. Also surviving is her mother of Antes Fort; two sons, Harry L. Carstet ter Jr. of Avis and James A. (Karen) Carstetter of Rauchtown; one daug hter, Cynthia L. (Barry) Krape of Bastress; nine grandchildren, Lisa , Chad, Mary, Tommy, Dustin, Ashley, Tyler, Brian and Nick; also seve great-grandchildren; and one brother, John A. (Donna) Bower of Ante s Fort. Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, David L. Bower. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. in th e Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Fri ends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, April 10, in the funer al home. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Rev. Richard Jon es will officiate.
