Marian Rogers Ream March 10, 1925 July 18, 2015 Marian Rogers Ream pas
sed away peacefully on July 18, 2015, in Tequesta, Fla. She was 90. Mr
s. Ream was born on March 10, 1925, to parents Forest Glenn and Mabe
l Tomb Rogers, in Nittany Valley. She graduated from Walker Township H
igh School, Hublersburg, in 1942. Mrs. Ream will be remembered as a lo
ving mother and dedicated wife. She and her husband, Paul, spent man
y years serving the community in Aaronsburg, at their restaurant, Ream
's Drive-in, while also caring for her mother, Mabel. Many people wil
l remember the porch swing at the drive-in. Mrs. Ream was dedicated t
o helping her husband in numerous businesses throughout the years, whi
ch included a summer camp for kids in Woodward. Mrs. Ream took pride a
d pleasure in teaching and employing many young people through the ye
ars. But her most pleasurable moments were watching her grandchildre
grow, and most recently, her great-grandchildren. In the last 30 yea
s, Mrs. Ream immensely enjoyed traveling to Florida with her husban
d to spend winters in Lake Worth. She enjoyed the sunshine and warm we
ather, dancing and singing in the clubhouse musicals there, and the ma
y friends she had made over the years. Mrs. Ream was "Mother" to he
children, which most people would think was formal. But in actuality
, Mother had quite a sense of humor and a quick wit. Her great smile w
as always even brighter when ice cream was present. Mrs. Ream previous
ly attended church at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Millheim, Mo
unt Nittany United Methodist Church, Lemont, and Lakeside United Metho
dist Church, Lake Worth, Fla. Mrs. Ream is survived by her husband o
f 67 years, Paul Ream, currently of Riviera Beach; and their three chi
ldren: daughter, Judy Ream Hazel and her husband, Jim, of Boalsburg, s
on, Gary Paul Ream and his wife, Becky, of Boalsburg and son, Kevin Mi
chael Ream, of Palm Beach, Fla. Mrs. Ream leaves behind five grandchil
dren: Darin Hazel, Justin Hazel, Lindsay Ream Whitton, Kelsey Ream, an
d Calista Ream. She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter
, Stephanie Lynne Hazel; and her beloved grandson, Brandon Paul Ream
. Mrs. Ream is also survived by three great-grandsons: Brener and Cart
er Whitton, and Madden Hazel. Condolences can be sent to Mr. Paul Ream
