Leroy J. Everett
Leroy J. Everett, 76, of Glen Ellyn died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, a
t home. He was born Feb. 13, 1931, in Watsontown, Pa.
He was a research biochemist and owner of TEST-ER and retired as vic
e president of research and development at Packard Instruments in Down
ers Grove. He earned bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from Pe
State University. He enjoyed traveling with family, fine wine and d
ining, gardening, skiing and football and adored dogs. He was a membe
of the American Chemical Society and the Penn State Alumni Associati
on.
He is survived by his wife, Sara (Barner) Everett; two children, Dr. T
homas F. Everett of Minneapolis and Elizabeth E. (husband Brian) Jone
s of Cottage Grove, Wis.; three grandchildren, Lucy Everett, and Etha
and Natalie Jones; a sister, Phyllis (husband Charlie) Roth of San R
amon, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Anne Everett of Bloomsburg, Columbi
a Co, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, T. Guy and Margurite Everett
; and a brother, Carl Everett.
No services are scheduled.
