Leona G. Kirkman, 91, a resident of Bucktail Medical Center for the pa
st two years, passed away Friday, May 16, 2003. She was a former resid
ent of Susquehanna Avenue, Renovo.
Born April 15, 1912, in Renovo, she was the daughter of William and Be
ssie (Lucas) Barner.
Her husband, Thomas H. Kirkman, died in 1959.
She was a housewife and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church
, Renovo.
Surviving are four daughters: Janice G. Dobrick of Grampian, Pa., Bonn
ie L. Reeder of Carney’s Point, N.J., Donna A. Bruno of Pennsville, N.
J., and Karen L. Wykoff of Emporium, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great g
andchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, William Houg
h of Pine City, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Flora Jane Kirkman, in 1974
; a grandson, Troy Wykoff, in 1988; and a great-granddaughter, Rena We
ir in 1987.
The funeral will be Monday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Maxwell Funer
al Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo, with her pastor, the Rev. Edward Grabo
ski, officiating. Friends and relatives may call Sunday at the funera
l home from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at North Bend Cemetery, #103. M
