Carol A. (Gottschall) Ludwig, 81, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturda
y, August 4, 2018.
She was born in Salladasburg, Oct. 19, 1936, the daughter of the lat
e Merrill L. and Anna (Anglehoffer) Gottschall.
Carol was a graduate of the Jersey Shore Area Senior High School. Sh
e married the love of her life, Robert T. Ludwig, Oct. 5, 1957; togeth
er they celebrated 60 years.
Carol was employed by BLAST IU 17 as a student aide for handicapped ch
ildren.
Carol was a member of the Oval United Methodist Church. She enjoyed re
ading, visiting Mohegan Sun and vacationing with her family in Ocean C
ity, NJ. Carol was a devoted wife and mother.
Carol is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Thomas Ludwig (Am
y Yocum) of Lock Haven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers
, Edwin and Elwood Gottschall and one sister, Shirleen Anderson
A Tribute of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 20
18 at noon with a visitation for family and friends from 11 a.m. to no
on at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey S
hore, with Pastor Susan Champion officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of her family.
