  Aug 27, 2018 Jane Furst Winslow, 91, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Friday, Aug. 24 , 2018. She was born in Lamar Township, a daughter of the late George Barner F urst and Amanda Elizabeth Sager Furst and had resided in Falls Church , Va. for over 35 years prior to relocating to the Roanoke/Salem are a 21 years ago. She was employed as a teacher for Fairfax County Public School Syste m prior to retiring. Jane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Salem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving hu sband of 64 years, Melvin Leroy Winslow; twin sister, Mary Masden an d brother, Fred Furst. She is survived by two sons, Herbert Winslow and wife, Carolyn, and Ke eth Winslow and wife, Linda; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandc hildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2018 at th e Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, with the Rev. Bob by Pickle and Chaplain Roy Miller officiating. Interment will be hel d at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Mill Hall, Pa. at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Au g. 29, 2018.
