  Eleaner L. Packer Eleaner L. Packer, 79, of Beech Creek, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 200 7 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Mahoning Twp, Montour Co, PA. She was born Aug. 24, 1928 in Beech Creek, a daughter of the late Char les and Eunice Haagen Peters. She married Richard N. Packer, who survives, on Nov. 17, 1946. Eleaner retired from Lock Haven University and had previously worked a t Sylvania. She was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ and the Bald Eagl e Ridge Runners Camping Club. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting an d camping. In addition to her husband, surviving are a son Gary E. and wife Lind a Packer of Beech Creek; three sisters, Barbara Heaton, Janet Eberhar t and Maxine Thomas; a granddaughter Allison Allen and husband Cory o f Beech Creek; and two great grandchildren, Sydney and Carter Allen. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Fune al Home and Cremation Services Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard, with th e Rev. Russell J. Moldovan officiating. Visitation is today from 6 t o 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blanchard Church of Christ , P.O.
