Grace I. Welshans, 88, of Jersey Shore, passed away, Tuesday, Februar
y 17, 2009 at Manor Care South Nursing Home.
She was born May 5, 1920 in Rauchtown, the daughter of Clyde and Mabe
l Mae Duck Schively.
Grace was the wife of the late Leonard C. "Punk" Welshans who passed i
1983.
She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church. Grace enjoyed count
y western music.
She is survived by two brothers, Lee and Glenn Schively, both of Rauch
town; a niece Linda Metzger of Muncy; three nephews, Lynn A. Schivel
y of Rauchtown, John T. Jenkins of Avis and Carl S. Jenkins of Muncy.

Relatives and friends are invited to Grace's Life Celebration, Frida
y evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd.
, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. Services will follow at 8 p.m., wi
th Rev. Kerry R. Aucker officiating. Burial will be in Oval Cemetery
, at the convenience of the family.
