Wayne Alvin Barner, age 83, entered eternal rest on March 19th, 2021 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was surrounded by his loving family and entered God’s presence peacefully. Wayne was born on August 25th, 1937 in Aaronsburg, PA, the only son of Esther Krape Barner and Charles Lee Barner. He was happily married to Helene Mary Barner (née Schumacher), his wife of 59 years, on June 13th, 1962. ROBERT W. SHOEMAKER, 55, of Shippensburg, passed away February 27, 2021 at home. He was born February 20, 1966 in Chambersburg, PA, son of Linda L. (Shearer) Somers and Walter C. Somers and was preceded in death by his father, Wayne E. Shoemaker. In addition to his parents he is survived by wife Linda (Barner) Killian Shoemaker; daughters Stacey N. (Andrew) Fetterhoff and Megan B. Shoemaker (Owen Dechene); stepdaughter Sierra E. Killian (Kenny Harrison); sister, Charity (Colby) Fry. Graveside services in Spring Hill Cemetery.
GEORGE F. SEYLER SR., 82, of Loganton, passed away at his home in late January 2021. Born April 24, 1938 in Carroll, Pa. to the late Lester and Rilla (Cashner) Seyler. Married Mary L. Meredith Aug. 30, 1958 in Hyde, Pa. Along with his parents he was predeceased by sister Mary Hudson and brother-in-law Mark Lucas. In addition to his wife he is survived by children Arleen (Brian) Miller, Art (Gina) Seyler, George, Jr. (Karen) Seyler and Nellie (Randy) Perry; sister Nellie Lucas; brother-in-law Charles Hudson. HELEN J. (KEHRER) KITCHEN, 95, formerly of South Williamsport, died Jan. 22, 2021, at Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center. Born Sept. 9, 1925 in Montoursville, daughter of the late Martin and Jennie Kehrer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Bruce Kitchen; sister Ora Jean Gasser; and brother Charles Kehrer. Surviving are son Keith M. (Jeanette) Kitchen; daughters Debra L. (Bob) Lambert and Donna J. (Pete) Zimmerman, a brother Thomas Kehrer, sisters Margie Snyder and Julia Grove. Burial in Wildwood Cemetery.
MARY ALICE (MATTER) LAMEY, 82, of Lamar passed away January 12, 2021 at the UPMC Medical Center, Lock Haven. Born in Lock Haven November 4, 1938 to Reuben and Grace Brungard Matter. Married Richard Lamey December 6, 1957; he preceded her in death October 13, 2020. Also preceded in death by daughter Sandra Lamey Weaver who passed away on January 23, 2020. She is survived by her sons Richard E. and David S. She is also survived by sisters Mrs. Evelyn Garbrick, Mrs. Dorothy Fisher, Laura Boyd, and Mrs. Barbara Zimmerman, and brothers John, Kenneth, Charles and Robert Matter.
