was born at Liverpool Twp, Perry Co, September 2, 1949, the daughter o
f Minnie
[Lindsay] Sheaffer of Liverpool and the late Marlin Ralph Sheaffer Sr.
, who died December 15,
1985. November 23, 1973, she married Larry Edward Arnold, who survives
. Mrs. Arnold graduated
in 1967 from Greenwood Joint High School Millerstown. She was employe
d as a packer for the
former Towsen Industries, Inc. of Hummels Wharf and then was a final f
inisher for Excel
Homes, Inc., Liverpool RR2, for three years, retiring in 1997 due to i
ll health. She was
primarily a homemaker and mother who enjoyed spending quality time wit
h her granddaughters.
She was a member of Dresslers Ridge United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleas
ant Mills RR2. In
addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by one son, Ryan N
. Arnold, at home, and
his fiancee, Terri Horst; one daughter, Desiree R. Cauffman, New Bloom
field RR2; one brother,
Marlin "Ralph" Sheaffer, Liverpool RR1; two sisters, Sandra Long, Live
pool RR1, and Brenda
Fessler, Mohrsville, PA; and two granddaughters, Ashley Nicole and Aly
ssa Leigh Cauffman. A
memorial service was conducted Saturday from Liverpool United Methodis
t Church with her
pastor, Rev. Lear E. Shambach, officiating. Interment followed in th
e Liverpool Union
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer So
ciety, Mifflin-Juniata
Unit, P.O. Box 551, Lewistown, PA 17044, or to Evangelical Hospice

LIVERPOOL - Minnie Matilda Sheaffer, 90, of Liverpool, entered into re
st on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewi
sburg. She was born July 29, 1923, in Port Trevorton, the daughter o
f the late Harvey and Annie (Strawser) Lindsay. She was married to Mar
lin Ralph Sheaffer Sr., who preceded her on Dec. 15, 1985. Minnie grad
uated from Selinsgrove High School. She was a member of Liverpool Unit
ed Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Minnie enjoyed pu?
le books, reading Amish books and spending time with her family, espec
ially her grandchildren. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-la
w, Marlin Ralph Jr. and Sallie Sheaffer, of Liverpool; one daughter an
d son-in-law, Brenda and Blaine Fessler, of Middleburg; two sons-in-la
w, Raymond Long, of Liverpool, and Larry Arnold, of Mount Pleasant Mil
ls; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-
grandchildren. Minnie was preceded by two daughters, Sandra Long and J
oyce Arnold. There will be no public viewing. Friends and family are i
vited to the visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Liverpool United M
ethodist Church, 209 S. Market St., Liverpool, followed by the funera
