    Harry M. Wieder, 94, formerly of Landisville, Lancaster Co, entered in
    to eternal rest at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at the Mennonite Ho
    me, Lancaster, where he lived since March.
    He was born Sept. 21, 1909 in Synder Co, a sone of the late Howard M
    . and Sarah (Snook) Wieder. He and the former Mary Faith Barner wer
    e married Oct. 21, 1934. She preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 2001.
    He was educated at the Ridge Grammar School house in Synder County.
    Mr. Wieder retired from the Hempfield School District May 18, 1979, wh
    ere he was employed as a custodial for 18½ years. He was previously e
    gaged in farming for more than 20 years in the Landisville area.
    Mr. Wieder was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Ea
    st Petersburg, and its senior choir, was an usher, and assistant to th
    e treasurer for many years.
    He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather wh
    o genuinely enjoyed his home and yard work.
    Surviving, one son and daughter-in-law, Clarence M. and Karen Wieder o
    f Leola; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda E. and James R. Clark o
    f York and Janet L. and Richard E. Neville of Denver, PA; seven grandc
    hildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J
    ohn H. and Dorothea Wieder of Phoenixville and Richard O. and Grace Wi
    eder of Lowman, NY; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Savannah and Wils
    on Bell of Horseheads, NY, and Betty and Leroy Goss of Milroy; and thr
    ee generations of nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by six sisters, Hilda M. Hartman, Carrie J. S
    melzer, May K. McNitt, Ruth Bickhart, Gertrude Kline and Sarah E. Suni
    ega.
    Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the George P. Garman Fu
    eral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills, where the funeral will be conducte
    d at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Abram E. Rhoads.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospital of Lancaste
    Co, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17601-9869.
    Visitors may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Dec. 28 at Grace Evangelical Congre
    gational Church, 6067 Carpenter St., East Petersburg, where a celebrat
    ion of life service will also be conducted at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Davi
    d Johnson and the Rev. Charles W. Barner.
