    byterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born on December 18, 1964, in Bellefo
    te, she was the daughter of the late Harry N. and Janet P. Emel Barne
    . Bonnie was a 1984 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She wa
    s employed as a driver for Predator Trucking Company in Bellefonte. Sh
    e was a member of the Freedom Life Church in Milesburg. Bonnie enjoye
    d being with her family, especially her granddaughter, Andrea. She lov
    ed driving. She looked forward to spending time with her K9 companion
    , Zeus. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Chrystal P. Barner and he
    companion, Jeremy Waddell, of Milesburg; five siblings, Joyce A. Hof
    fman and her husband, John, of Marsh Creek, Cindy M. Snyder, of Julian
    , Harry N. Barner, Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Oil City, Earl W. Barne
    and his wife, Mel, of North Dakota, and Barbara K. Ishler and her hu
    sband, Jeff, of Atlanta, Ga.; and one step-brother, John Friend, of Sp
    ing Hill, Fla. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Andrea Wadd
    ell, of Milesburg. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, Ja
    uary 14, 2017, from 10-11 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howa
    d. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pa
    stor Jen Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow at Schenck's Cemete
    y in Howard Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions ca
    be made to either Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy., Centr
    e Hall, PA 16828 or to the Freedom Life Church, 113 Sunset Acres, Bell

    e on June 28, 1930, the son of the late Earl Thomas and Sarah Catherin
    e (Caldwell) Barner. He was self employed and had owned and operated t
    he Shortway Meat Market in Milesburg. He also had farmed, was in const
    uction, hauled logs, was in the ice business, and cut and sold firewo
    od, and he especially enjoyed gardening. He served in the U.S. Army i
    the Korean War. He was the husband of Janet P. (Emel) Barner. whom h
    e married in 1960 of Youngsville Also surviving are: daughter(s): Joyc
    e A. Hoffman of Bellefonte, Centre Co, PA;

    and a brother, Harold Barner

    of Zion, Pa.

    Also surviving are 14

    grandchildren; six

    great-grandchildren and

    several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to his parents,

    he was preceded in death by

    his brothers, Tom, Bob and

    Eddie; and sisters, Rosie and

    Patti.

    No services will be ob-

    served. A private burial will

    be held at the convenience of

    the family. The McKinney

    She was a homemaker.

    Janet Pearl Barner

    Early on the morning of December 26, 2011, Janet P. Barner, of Julian
    , PA finished her job in this world and went home to be with The Lor
    d and her beloved husband, Harry N. Barner Sr. who passed from this wo
    ld on May 8, 2007.

    Born on June 11, 1937, Janet was the daughter of the late Chester an
    d Eleanor (nee Bachman) Emel of Tyrone, PA. She was one of 10 childre
    that the Emel’s were blessed with and is survived by brother Cheste
    Emel of Eden, NY and sister Charlotte Jean “Jeannie” Taylor of Loc
    k Haven, Clinton Co, PA. Janet was pre-deceased by brothers Richard, R
    onald, Bud and sisters Mary (Spangler), Martha (Ross), Geraldine (Mill
    er) and Helen (Garrett).

    Janet attended Tyrone High School in her youth and on November 1, 1960
    , Janet married her only true love, Harry N. Barner, the son of Earl a
    d Sarah (nee Coldwell) Barner of Bellefonte. Janet’s adult life was d
    edicated to raising her six children, Joyce (Hoffman) of Yarnell, PA
    , Cindy (Snyder) of Julian, Harry Jr. of Franklin, PA, Earl of Warren
    , PA, Bonnie of Howard, PA, Barbara (Ishler) of Powder Springs, GA an
    d loving her step-son John of Spring Hill, Fl.

    Janet is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grand children an
    d one great great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other
    s that are too numerous to name and some of her happiest moments wer
    e when they were all together, as many as possible, at one time.

    Services were held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at th
    e Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with the Rev. Br
    ian Vasey officiating. Janet was laid to rest beside her husband at th
    e Schencks Cemetery.
