Mrs. Barner was born November 10, 1939, in Sharon, a daughter of the l

She was a lifelong area resident and a 1957 graduate of Hickory High S
chool.
A homemaker, Betsy was a former member of the Church of Notre Dame, He
mitage.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Barner, whom she married Ma
y 7, 1971; a daughter, Connie L. Benes and her husband, Steve, of Herm
itage; two sons, Bradford W. Ser and his wife, Shannon, of Canton, Geo
gia and Mark D. Barner and his wife, Jennifer, of Hermitage; a stepso

Calling hours will be from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. prior to the servic
e on Saturday, November 17, 2018, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Hom
e and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State Street, Sharon.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 17 in th
e funeral home following visitation.
Interment will be in America’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
