    LIVERPOOL - Sandra Maxine "Sandy" Long, 64, of Liverpool,
    passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, in the
    emergency room at Holy Spirit Hospital.
    Sandy was born March 8, 1944, in Port Trevorton, a daughter
    of Minnie M. (Lindsay) Sheaffer of Liverpool and the late
    Marlin Sheaffer Sr. She is survived by her loving husband,
    Raymond O. Long. Her passing breaks a marital union of 46
    years.
    Sandy was a graduate of Greenwood High School. She was a
    member of Liverpool United Methodist Church, its United
    Methodist Women's group and the Staff Pastor Parish Relations
    Committee.
    Sandy enjoyed going to auctions and spending time with her family, esp
    ecially her
    grandchildren.
    In addition to her husband and mother, Sandy is survived by one son an
    d daughterin-
    law, Troy and Jenifer Long of Nazareth; one daughter and her boyfriend
    , Tuesday
    LeRae Orwan and Shane Moure of Etters; five grandchildren, Brandi an
    d Nathan
    Orwan, Shelby Palmer and Elise and Hannah Long; one brother and sister
    -in-law,
    Marlin Jr. and Sallie Sheaffer of Liverpool; one sister and brother-in
    -law, Brenda and
    Blaine Fessler of Athens; one brother-in-law, Larry Arnold of Mount Pl
    easant Mills; and
    ieces and nephews.
    She was preceded by one sister, Joyce Arnold.
    There will be no viewing. Honoring Sandra's wishes, she was cremated
    . The family will
    eceive friends for a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, followed b
    y a memorial
    service at 2, in Liverpool United Methodist Church, 109 S. Market St
    . Her pastor, the
    Rev. Keith R. Beasley-Topliffe, will officiate.
    Burial will be in St. John (Barner's) Cemetery, Liverpool.
    The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 606 N. Front St., has been en
    trusted with
    the arrangements.

    LIVERPOOL - Minnie Matilda Sheaffer, 90, of Liverpool, entered into re
    st on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewi
    sburg. She was born July 29, 1923, in Port Trevorton, the daughter o
    f the late Harvey and Annie (Strawser) Lindsay. She was married to Mar
    lin Ralph Sheaffer Sr., who preceded her on Dec. 15, 1985. Minnie grad
    uated from Selinsgrove High School. She was a member of Liverpool Unit
    ed Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Minnie enjoyed pu?
    le books, reading Amish books and spending time with her family, espec
    ially her grandchildren. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-la
    w, Marlin Ralph Jr. and Sallie Sheaffer, of Liverpool; one daughter an
    d son-in-law, Brenda and Blaine Fessler, of Middleburg; two sons-in-la
    w, Raymond Long, of Liverpool, and Larry Arnold, of Mount Pleasant Mil
    ls; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-
