Julia A. “Judy” Barner, 80, of Liverpool entered into rest on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at her home.

Julia was born on May 17, 1940 in Bunkertown, Juniata county. She was the daughter of the late Blaine and Ruth (Auker) Kerstetter. She was the wife of Michael W. “Mike” Barner, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by a son, Victor Barner; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Keith Byers; and three grandsons, Cole, Tyler and Matthew Barner.

She was a 1958 graduate of East Juniata High School.

Judy retired in 2000 as a teacher’s aide for the Greenwood School district.

She was a member of the Liverpool Civic Club, where she held different chairs, and she attended St. John’s United Methodist Church, McAlisterville.

Judy was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and traveling and, with her husband, was able to visit 49 states.

Burial was private in Liverpool Union Cemetery, Liverpool.
