Barbara B. Brungart, 87, widow of Kermit H. Brungart, of 124 Old Hil
l Road, Tylersville, passed away on Jan. 17, 2005 at Lock Haven Hospit
al.
Born in Tylersville on Oct. 30, 1917, she was the daughter of the lat
e William L. and Barbara Anna (Bierly) Barner.
She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church, Loganton.
She was a graduate of Loganton High School, Class of 1934.
Barbara was a member of the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Co. No. 13, wh
ere she served as treasurer for 17 years and was also a charter membe
of the ladies auxiliary.
She retired in 1980 as the cafeteria manager of the Sugar Valley Schoo
l and was a member of PSFSA.
Her survivors include a son, William C. (Kathaleen) Brungart of Logant
on and a daughter, Gloria (C. Clifford) Geyer of Loganton; five grands
ons; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers
, Charles and Sherman Barner and two sisters, Mary Gilmore and Wilhelm
ina Wasson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Wayne P
. Urbine Funeral Home Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, with the Rev. Ka
y Schwab officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on T
hursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery
, Loganton. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Sugar Valley Fir
