    Kermit W. Kerstetter, 87, of Loganton

    Kermit W. Kerstetter, 87, of Loganton died Friday,
    May 3, 2002, at Manor Care in Jersey Shore.

    Born March 17, 1915, in Booneville, he was a son of the late George W
    . and Mayme Weaver Kerstetter. On Dec. 9, 1939, he married Arline Smit
    h, who survives.

    A laborer, he worked in construction. He was also the proprietor of th
    e former Dairy Dip in Loganton.

    He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Greenburr and Su
    gar Valley Volunteer Fire Company No. 13.

    He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

    In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William G. "Bill" Ke
    stetter of Loganton, two grandsons, and four great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Kerstetter, who died Jul
    y 28, 1948, and by a son, David, who died Aug. 16, 1974.

    Visitation will be from 7 to
    9 p.m. Monday at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home Inc., Main and Wate
    streets, Loganton.

    The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pasto
    Kay Schwab officiating.

    Burial will be in Trinity United Methodist Cemetery, Greenburr.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church
    , P.O. Box 86, Loganton, PA 17747.

    Arline M. Kerstetter, 82, 1008 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, formerly o
    f 106 Campground Road, Loganton, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Mano
    Care, Jersey Shore.
    She was the wife of the late Kermit W. Kerstetter, who died May 5, 200
    2.
    Born Aug. 20, 1920, in Tusseyville, Centre Co, she was the daughter o
    f the late Willard R. and Ruth Martz Smith.
    She was a homemaker and proprietor of the former Dairy Dip in Loganton
    . She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Greenburr, an
    d the ladies auxiliary of the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Co.
    Survivors are one son. William G. “Bill” Kerstetter, Loganton; two gra
    dsons, Matthew and Greg Kerstetter, both of Loganton; brother, Willar
    d R. Smith Jr., Madisonburg; four sisters, Betty Zeiders of Pompa Beac
    h, Fla., Ruby Bair of Castanea, Carol Armstrong of Bristol, Tenn., an
    d Cleo Matter of Centre Hall; and 4 great-grandchildren.
    She was predeceased by son David in 1974, a daughter Janie in 1948, si
    ster Geraldine Esterline and brother Nerr Smith.
    Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wayne P. Urbine Funera
    l Home Inc., Main and Water Streets, Loganton, with pastor Kay Schwa
    b officiating.
    Burial will be in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Greenburr.
    Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    M. Jean Lamey, 73, of 12 Wood St., Loganton, passed away on Thursday
    , July 10, 2008 at Williamsport Hospital.

    Jean was born Nov. 28, 1934 in Loganton, a daughter of the late Harr
    y E. and Edna E. (Kleckner) Lamey.

    She was married to George F. Lamey on Dec. 15, 1951. He preceded her i
    death on March 22, 2000.

    Jean was formerly employed by Susque-View Home during the 1970s. She w
    as a school bus driver for over 30 years for Kephart's, Schrack's an
    d Susquehanna Transit. She was also a cook for the Pepper Run Huntin
    g Club for many years.

    Jean also loved sitting on her front porch and "gossiping" with friend
    s. She was also a fine seamstress and avid quilter.

    Jean also served on the election board and zoning-hearing board for ma
    y years and belonged to the Sugar Valley Vol. Fire Co. #13, ladies au
    xiliary.

    Jean is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Danny) Smith of Spring Mil
    ls; Sheryl (Bill) Kerstetter; and Melanie (Mike) Karchner, both of Log
    anton, a son, Dan (Lynn) Lamey of Loganton, a sister, Mary (Dean) Hoff
    er Munro of Jersey Shore and a brother, Harold (Sharon) Lamey of Rauch
    town.

    Jean was also blessed by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren an
    d six step great-grandchildren.

    The funeral services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11 a.m
    . in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton
    , with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating.

    Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m
    . Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery.
