Lois E. Karstetter, 93, of Rauchtown Road, passed away Saturday, Decem
ber 15, 2007, at Manor Care.
She was born December 4, 1914, in Oval, the daughter of Guy and Myrtl
e Epler Barner.
Lois was married to the late Leslie Karstetter who passed in 1972.
She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid S
ociety.
Lois enjoyed crocheting and quilting with the ladies at the church.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Shirley) of Rauchtown, Larry (Mar
ie) of Loganton and a daughter, Nelda (David) Moore of Jersey Shore; f
ive grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandc
hildren; a sister, Margaret Reading of Jersey Shore; two brothers, Wil
liam Barner of Williamsport and John Barner of Lock Haven and many nie
ces and nephews.
Lois was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son Donald, a brot
her Harry Barner and a sister Marie Eck.
Services will be conducted privately by the Rearick-Carpenter Funera
l Home, Ltd. “A Life Celebration Home” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shor
e.
