Miriam “Mim” Brungard Tannehill, 97, formerly of Main Street, Mackeyvi
lle, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care U
it.

Born March 22, 1911 in Mackeyville, she was a daughter of the late Ben
jamin and Mary Walizer Ferree.

On Oct. 22, 1929, she married Sheldon Brungard, who died April 22, 197
9. On May 29, 1988, she married Gordon Tannehill, who also preceded he
in death.

She was a homemaker.

Mim was a member of Mackeyville United Methodist Church. She was als
o active in the Mill Hall Senior Center.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling - especially bus trips, cooking and c
anning.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy L. Shaffer of Mill Hall; three gr
andchildren, Fred W. Shaffer II of Liviona, N.Y., Craig S. Shaffer o
f Montoursville and Nicole L. Thompson of Millheim; and two great gran
dchildren.

A committal service will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. i
Rest Haven Memorial Park, Dunnstable Twp, with the Rev. Valerie M. D
elooze, her pastor, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mackeyville United Methodist Chu
ch in the care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 32
