Charles F. Peters, 87, of 743 Bressler St., Flemington, passed away Tu
esday, Jan. 6, 2009 at Jersey Shore ManorCare.
Born March 12, 1921 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Dors A
. Peters and Pauline Berry Peters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara M. Peters, on May 17, 19
97.
Charles graduated from Lock Haven High School and worked at Hammermil
l Paper Co. for 47 years, retiring in 1987.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Charles was a member of Flemington Borough Council for 58 years.
He is survived by two sons, Jack D. (Connie) Peters of Flemington an
d Charles F. Peters Jr. of Beech Creek; two granddaughters, Beth Ann B
erfield and Leslie Ann Scott; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Ka
tie and Braden.
He was preceded in death by his wife and brothers, Dors A. Peters Jr
. and John J. Peters.
Memorial services will be Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Dona
ld G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington, with the Rev. Mar
k Riley officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

lemington Borough.
