Mary F. Welshans, 87, of Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, a
t the ManorCare Health Center in Jersey Shore. Born June 14, 1927, i
Lock Haven, she was the daughter of Leland W. Shaffer and the forme
W. Virginia Miller.

Mary is survived by husband Lewis F. Welshans. They were united in mar
iage April 15, 1970. Earlier in her life she was employed by West Fou
th Manufacturing and was a member of the Oriole United Methodist Chur
ch. Mary was also a former member of the Nippenose Valley Lions Club.

Also surviving are two sisters, Shirley (Robert) Karstetter, of Raucht
own and Barbara (Dale) Miller, of Rauchtown and one brother, Leland Sh
affer, of Mill Hall. Mary was preceded in death by a son James Brendl
e and three brothers, Robert, John and Louis.

Graveside services will be Friday, June 12, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Fai
view Cemetery in Loganton. The Rev. David McCoy will officiate. Frede
ick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, is in char
ge of arrangements.
