, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bl
oomfield.
Cora was born October 20, 1912 in Harrisburg, to the late William an
d Mary "Miller" Weaver.
She was the former owner of Mt. Pleasant Store in Hanover and was reti
ed from Bounds Pastry Shop in Reistertown, MD. She was a member of Hi
ghland Presbyterian Church, Newport, member and Past Matron of Hanove
Chapter of Eastern Star #378, Bethel Commandery Auxiliary #98, Hanov
er, past member of Amaranth Chapter of York, and White Shrine of Jerus
alem, York. She was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1930.
Cora was the widow of Lloyd J. Barner and survived by a son, Dr. Davi
d L. Barner and his wife, Suzanne of Mercer, PA; grandchildren, Jennif
er and Sean Barner and 1 great-grandchild, Kyle.
Services will be held on March 2, 2005 (today), from the David Myers F
uneral Home, Newport, with Reverend Edward Baugh officiating. Viewin
g will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., with Eastern Star Services at 2 p.m
. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown, PA.

easant Store in Hanover and was retired from Bounds Pastry Shop in Rei
sterstown, Md. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church, Newpo
t; a member and Past Matron of Hanover Chapter Easter Star 378; a mem
ber of Bethel Commandery Auxiliary 98, Hanover; Past member of Amarant
h Chapter of York and White Shrine of Jerusalem, York. She was a Gradu
ate of Newport High School Class of 1930. Mrs. Barner is survived by s
on Dr. David L. Barner and wife Suzanne of Mercer, Pa.; grandchildre
Jennifer and Sean Barner; and great-grandchild, Kyle. Services wil
l be Wednesday from the David M. Myers Funeral Home, Second and Walnu
t Streets, Newport, Pa. A viewing will be held from 12 Noon to 2 p.m
. with Eastern Star services at 2 p.m. The funeral will follow with th
e Reverend Edward Baugh officiating. Burial is in Riverview Cemetery
