GLENN B. SWARTZ
G. Byron Swartz, 84, of Millerstown died Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at Ston
ebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon.
He was born Feb. 8, 1930 in Juniata County to Banks L. and Dora (Barne
) Swartz.
He owned and operated a small upholstery shop, previously worked for M
illerstown Borough, and was engaged in farming in his earlier years
; a graduate of Millerstown High School; a member of Faith Lutheran Ch
urch, Richfield; and enjoyed genealogy and musical concerts.
He was the husband of Joy (Birk) Swartz, to whom he was married 35 yea
s.
Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Swartz of Richfield and Shirley Sheaff
er of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and several generations of nieces and nephew
s.
He was preceded in death by three brothers,, Barner, Stanley and Lloy
d Swartz.
Services were held Oct. 22 in his church with the Revs. Kathleen Kinne
y and Pusey Losch officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
