- Thelma I. Barner, 65, of Port Royal RR2, formerly of Harrisburg, died at 9 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2000, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born June 25, 1934, in Susquehanna Twp, Juniata Co, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Helen (Houseworth) Barner.
Surviving are: children, David Barner and Hilda Sakowsky, both of Harrisburg, John Barner, Cecilia Carbaugh and Ginny Swartz, all of Port Royal, and Peg Brubaker, Mifflintown; five brothers and three sisters; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
She had attended Calvary Temple, Harrisburg.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Barry Brubaker officiating. Interment will be in the Maze Cemetery, Thompsontown RR1.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.
