LILLIAN M. BARNER, 88, NEW BLOOMFIELD

NEW BLOOMFIELD - Lillian M. Barner, 88, formerly of Millerstown
RD2, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 1992, at Holy Spirit
Hospital, Camp Hill, where she was admitted Dec. 14. She was a
esident of Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield, since July.
Born March 20, 1904, in Oriental, Snyder Co, she was a daughter
of the late E. Clay and Alice Frymoyer Sheaffer. She was married to
Stanley C. Barner Sr., who died in 1982.
She attended Oriental rural schools.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Barner was a member of Mexico United Methodist Church; Rose
Circle Sunday school class of the church; Order of the Eastern Star,
Mifflintown Chapter; Mifflintown Senior Citizens; Golden Age Club,
Mifflintown; and American Association of Retired Persons.
During World War II, she did volunteer work with American Red
Cross. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by three sons, Leroy E. of Ann Arbor, Mich., Warren
M. of Hershey and Stanley C. of Mifflintown RD4; a daughter, Maxine B.
Grandon of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, W. Clair Sheaffer of Mount
Pleasant Mills RD2 and Earl Sheaffer of Liverpool RD1; nine
grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Herman
Sheaffer; two sisters, Mildred S. Snyder and Carrie M. Sheaffer; and
a granddaughter, Susan Barner Morseau.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the George P.
George P. Garman Funeral Home Inc., 606 N. Front St., Liverpool, by
the Rev. Gerald D. Wagner. Burial will be in St. John's (Barner's)
Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD1.
Visitors may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service
Wednesday at the funeral home.
