GRANVILLE - Susan R. Watts, 77, of Malta Home, Granville, and formerl
y of W. Market St., Lewistown, died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005
, at Malta Home.
Born May 4, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Jennie Ma
e (Barner) Shaffer.
Her family and friends love her and will miss her dearly. Her family w
ould like to give a special thank you to her long time friends and gua
dian’s Sylvester B. and David L. Mathias for their faithful and lovin
g care of Sue. We would also like to express our gratefulness to the M
alta Home because they truly made her feel at home and loved. Now, Sue
’s home is in Heaven with the Lord; her final resting place.
Surviving are: two sisters, Geraldine Clark, Warren, OH, and Helen Sto
ey, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by: two sisters, Hope Youngkin and Flo Zimme
man.
She was a 1945 graduate of Yeagertown High School.
She was a manager for the M&M store in Titusville. Her customers love
d her humor and kindness.
She also managed Raub Shoe Store, and worked at the BonTon and the Mif
flin County Courthouse. She retired in 1989 due to illness.
Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Barr Fun
eral Home, Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown. Interment will be in Lind M
emorial Cemetery.
Her viewing for family and friends will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thurs
day, Feb. 3, 2005, at the funeral home.
