  Altoona Mirror 12/16/2018 Oct. 12, 1921 - Dec. 14, 2018 LaRue S. Barner, 97, Harrisburg, died Friday. She was born in Volant , daughter of the late Kenneth D. and Dorothy (Clouse) Shaffer. On Oct . 9, 1943, she married Charles H. Barner Jr. in Potter Creek. Survivin g are son, Charles K. Barner; a daughter, Diane L. Barner; two grandda ughters; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gene Shaffer. She wa s preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers: Reid and Dean Sh affer. At request of the deceased, no public service will be held. Int erment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery. Arrange­ments are by Weaver Funer al Home LLC, Woodbury.
