SHIPPENSBURG - Rosie M. Barner, 84, of Shippensburg, formerly of Lewis
town, Enola and Loyalton of Creekview, Mechanicsburg, entered into res
t Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was the wife of the late Palmer E. Barner, who preceded her in dea
th on July 25, 2003. Rosie was born July 28, 1927, in Lewistown, a dau
ghter of the late Clarence A. and Mary Jane (Sourback) Crimmel.
She was a graduate of Lewistown High School. Rosie was formerly employ
ed with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She attended the River of Go
d Church, Enola. Rosie enjoyed traveling and viewing old movies, espec
ially John Wayne.
She is survived by: a brother, Joseph Wagner, of Lewistown; a sister
, Martha Aultz, of Lewistown; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Charles Wagner
, and a sister, Emma Monk.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at th
e George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front St., Liverpool, w
ith Pastor Timothy A. Halbfoerster officiating. Friends and family ar
e invited to the visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the servic
e at the funeral home. Burial will be in Barner's Cemetery, Liverpool.
