Notes |
Barner served in the Air Force in WW ll and was wounded in a raid on t
he Ploesti Oil Fields. He received the Purple Heart and was decorate
d with the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism displayed in flights
. He retired in Jan 1972 from 30 years in the Civil Service. His las
t duty was with the Tank and Automotive Command, Detroit.
