Engineering consultant, World War II veteran
Harry L. Barner , 75, of Aston, an engineering consultant and World Wa
II veteran, died May 1 at home.
Born in Williamsport, Pa., Mr. Barner resided in Ridley Twp before mov
ing to Aston 40 years ago. He was an engineering consultant for U.N.I
. Engineering Inc. in Wrightstown, N.J. He was previously employed b
y the Gulf Oil Corp. in Philadelphia for 32 years.
Mr. Barner served in the Army during World War II. He was a member o
f the National Rifle Association and Williamsport Lodge No. 106 F&AM
, where he was a 50-year member. Mr. Barner enjoyed hunting, photograp
hy, woodworking and reading.
He was the son of the late Lee R. and Ruth Moore Barner . He was prede
ceased by his wife of 41 years, Emilie M. Moeller Barner , who died i
1989. He was the brother of the late Carl Barner .
Survivors: Daughter, Karen L. Barner of Colorado Springs, Colo. sons
, Bruce A. Barner of Narberth, Wayne L. Barner of Aston brother, Jame
s L. Barner of Erie two grandchildren.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concor
d Road, Aston.
Visitation: After 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston.
