Miriam E. Geisewite, 93, widow of Ernest H. Geisewite, formerly of Log
anton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007 at ManorCare, Jersey Shore.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Wayne P. Urbine Funera
l Home Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, when complete.

Miriam E. "Mim" Geisewite August 2, 1914 - October 14, 2007 Miriam E
. "Mim" (Showers) Geisewite, 93, widow of Ernest H. Geisewite, formerl
y of Loganton, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2007, at Manor Care
, Jersey Shore. Born on Aug. 2, 1914, in Logan Mills, she was the daug
hter of the late Ammon and Annie (Emig) Showers. She was a graduate o
f the former Loganton Vocational High School Class of 1932. Mim wa
s a member of the Eastville Church of the Brethren where she participa
ted in the Ladies Aid. She and her husband were the proprietors of th
e former Logan Lunch where she was well known for her baking of pies
. Mim was also formerly employed by Sid Greenberg Enterprises Sewing F
actory of Newberry and Pequea Fish Hooks of Loganton. She was a membe
of the Loganton Community Club and a former member of the WCTU Logan
ton Chapel. She is survived by a son, Pastor Kenneth Geisewite (Kim) o
f Eastville; a daughter Janice E. Overdorf (David) of Loganton; six gr
andchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she w
as predeceased by a sister, Frances Showers Kulhavey. The funeral serv
ice will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at 11 a.m., in the Eastvi
lle Church of the Brethren, Eastville with Rev. William Mauck officiat
ing. Interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery. Visitati
on will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Wayne P. Urbin
e Funeral Home, Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton. If desired memorials m
ay be sent to her church.
