James Daniel "Jim" Barner, 43, passed away at home Sunday, May 9, 2010
, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Jim was born July 25, 1966, in Middletown, OH, to Walter and Vonda Abn
ey Barner. He married Melissa Garland on March 26, 2005, in Granbury
. He graduated from Madison High School in 1992 and Austin Peay Stat
e University in 1990. He was self-employed, doing what he loved, carpe
try and designing cowboy boots. Jim enjoyed sketching, painting, Texa
s music, wood work, his friends, family and his four beloved dogs. Ji
m never met a stranger and would go to any length to help a friend.
