Betty Louise Harbach, 92, of Columbus, MS, formerly of Loganton, enter
ed into rest at 10:11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 surrounded by he
family.
She was born on June 15, 1926 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the lat
e Lynn Raymond and Anna Dephane (Dunlap) Kerstetter. On Aug. 29, 1946
, in Loganton by the Rev. Thurman R. Hustler she married the William B
. Harbach, who passed away on June 5, 2012.
She was a graduate of Sugar Valley High School, class of 1943; and a 1
946 graduated from Williamsport Hospital School as a Registered Nurse.
For over 20 years, Mrs. Harbach worked as a RN for Lock Haven Hospital
, Jersey Shore Hospital, Potter County Schools in Ulysses, and the off
ice of Dr. Lloyd Forcey in Jersey Shore before she retired 1970.
Betty was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Loganton
, where she served as the church organist for 20 years; and also for S
t. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Booneville for over 16 years
. She was a member and past-president of the Loganton Community Club.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Chester M. and Jean L
. Harbach of Hughesville, Pa.; one granddaughter, Shelley Lynn Pruett
; one great-grandson, Alex McCarty; two great-great grandchildren; on
e brother and sister-in-law, Gene C. and Betty Harbach of Bedford as w
ell as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is being planned for April 2019, with an intermen
t in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton.
