Kathleen H. Barner, 96, a resident of the Susque-View Home, formerly o
f Mill Hall, died Feb. 24, 2017, at Susque-View.
Born Nov. 15, 1920, in Mill Hall, she was the daughter of the late Dea
and Essie Butler Bennett. Her husband, Raymond M. Barner, died May 3
, 1989. Earlier in her life Kay had been employed at Sylvania and Clin
ton Paper Co. Kay was a member of the Mill Hall United Methodist Churc
h and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by one son, Baxter Ray (Cheryl J.) Barner of Duncannon
; two grandchildren, Eric R. (Dawn) Barner and Kimberly Jo (Michael) D
amico; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Barner and Elijah and Chlo
e Damico.
A graveside funeral service honoring the life of Kathleen H. Barner wi
ll be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Cedar Hill Cemete
y, #028, Mill Hall, with her pastor Rev. Joan Gordon officiating. Fri
ends will be received Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. in the Dea
