Dale E. Kleckner
Dale E. Kleckner, 87, of Howard, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 a
t Haven Skilled Rehabilitation, Lock Haven.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1930 a son of the late W. Eldon and Bessie Emi
line Strunk Kleckner.
On June 7, 1952 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Lavo
Miller Kleckner who survives at their home in Howard.
Dale proudly served his country as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy. He was a
avid hunter and fisherman.
He served his community as a life member of the Beech Creek/ Blanchar
d Fire Company serving as Chief for 15 years. He was also one of the f
irst group of EMTs with the company. Dale also served on the Beech Cre
ek Borough Council for 16 years. He was a member of the Blanchard Chur
ch of Christ.
Along with his wife he is survived by two daughters, Karen (Steven) He
verly, of Howard, and Susan (Michael) Young, of Beech Creek; two sons
, Duane (Andrea) Kleckner, of Beech Creek, and Kenneth (Beth) Kleckner
, of Blanchard, and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Kleckner, of Mill Hall
. Also surviving is his sister, Marjorie Hills, of Beech Creek and hi
s nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his son, Stephen Kleckner in 2017.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, Nov. 5
, 2018 at 8 p.m. at the Blanchard Church of Christ, Beach Street, Blan
chard with Pastor Wally Kocher officiating. Friends will be received a
t the church from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday.
Burial will be at Hays-Fearon Cemetery, Beech Creek at the families co
venience.
