Obituary of Brandon Ream
Brandon Paul Ream, 29, of Boalsburg, beloved husband of Samantha Rea
m and son of Gary P. and Rebecca R. Ream, passed away Monday, Novembe
25, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Houston, TX. In addition to his wi
fe and parents, he is also survived by two sisters, Lindsay Whitton an
d her husband, Alistair, of Centre Hall and Kelsey Ream of State Colle
ge; paternal grandparents, Paul and Marian Ream of Centre Hall. He i
s cherished by his wife's parents and numerous brothers and sisters. H
e is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Eunice R
iegel and cousin Stephanie Hazel. Born January 23, 1984, in State Coll
ege. He was a life long resident of Happy Valley. A 2002 graduate of S
tate College Area High School where he was a standout football and bas
ketball player. He went on to become a punter at Penn State Universit
y from 2002 -2006 where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Busin
ess and met his wife, PSU Volleyball player, Samantha (Tortorello) Rea
m. He served as the Vice President of Operations at Camp Woodward, whe
e he managed everyday activities, focusing on TV, media and sponsorsh
ip. Additionally, he played a critical role as Camp Woodward expande
d with locations in Pennsylvania, California, Colorado and Beijing, Ch
ina. Camp Woodward was his passion and his second family. Brandon enjo
yed golfing, fishing, basketball and football. A devoted Penn State Fa
, he was often seen at PSU Football games and courtside at PSU basket
ball and volleyball games. He loved traveling and spending the holiday
s on Singer Island, FL. But his greatest of all joys was spending tim
e with his family and friends - especially his sister's children Brene
and Carter and his other adoring nieces and nephews Michael, Chase
, MacKenzie, Ava, Lola, Dominic, Tess, Stella, Sophia and Madeleine. V
isitation will be from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Sunday, December 1, 20
13, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. F
uneral service will be 10:30 a.m., on Monday, December 2, 2013, at Ou
Lady of Victory Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, with the R
everend's Neil Dadey and Matthew Laffey officiating. Burial will be i
Boalsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Penn Stat
