John Henry Antes (1736-1820) was Justice of the Peace of Northumberland Co, 1775, and also served as scout and sheriff. He had command of th
e associators of the frontier and the stockade, 1777, which was called Fort Antes. He is buried near the fort. He was born in Montgomery Co, Pa.
