LeRoy B. Barner
MECHANICSBURG LeRoy "Lee" B. Barner, 69, of Loyalton of Creekview an
d formerly of Dillsburg, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008, at th
e Golden Living Center, Camp Hill. He was the widower of Marguerite "M
aggie" D. (Miller) Barner. He was born December 17, 1938, in Antes For
t, Pa., the son of the late Paul L. and Hazel M. (Thompson) Barner. Le
Roy was a retired businessman, having worked in the trucking and const
uction industries. He served his country in the PA Army National Guar
d. He served in the 726th Ordinance Battalion and the 728th Maintenanc
e Battalion. LeRoy was a Graduate of Jersey Shore High School, Class o
f 1956. He attended Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill. LeRoy is survi
ved by two sons, Brian P. Barner of New Cumberland and Robert A. Barne
of Lewisberry; one daughter, Lori A. Grassmeyer of New Oxford; six g
andchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by hi
s son, Bruce L. Barner. Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2
008, at 11 a.m. in his church, 2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill. A viewin
g will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial wil
l be held privately in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Golf Course Road. Memori
