June M. DeVine
Mrs. June M. DeVine, 86, of 6 Frontz Lane, Allenwood, died Saturday,
August 11, 2007 at The Gatehouse Hospice, Divine Providence Hospital,
Williamsport.
Mrs. DeVine was a member of the Saint James Lutheran Church of
Rauchtown.
June had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. DeVine was retired from the Montoursville Barracks of the
PA State Police, where she had been employed as a civilian
operator’s license examiner.
Born June 27, 1921 at Oval, she was the daughter of the late Warren an
d
Margaret Wentzel Barner.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Della Devine and her
husband, Blair Monagle of Franklinville, New Jersey and her sister, Mr
s.
Ann Wright of Allenwood.
She also leaves behind her pet cat, “Muffin.”
In addition to her late parents, she was also preceded in death by he
late
sisters, Bertha Hawkins and Linda Merkel and also by her late brothers
,
Dale Barner and Charles Barner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2007 a
t
the Saint James Lutheran Church at Rauchtown. Her pastor, Rev. Kerry
R. Aucker will officiate. Interment will follow at the Oval Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend thee visitation on Tuesday
evening, August 14, 2007 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Charles M. Noll Funer
al
Home, 1 East Central Ave., South Williamsport.
The family welcomes receiving floral tributes and suggests that
contributions in memory of Mrs. June M. DeVine may be made, if so
