, 81, of Mill Hall, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at her home. She wa
s born July 27, 1925, in Lamar Twp, Clinton Co, PA, to the late John H
. and Nora Mae Gates Kramer. On Aug. 17, 1942, she married Edward W. B
arner, who died Dec. 4, 1990. Evelyn was a member of the Rote Church o
f Christ. She had worked at Sylvania Electric for several years but sp
end her life taking care of children. Over the years she had taken car
e of at least 50 foster children and had done babysitting for severa
l children. Her life was devoted to her family and caring for children
. She is survived by three sons, Jerry (Sally) Barner, of Mill Hall, K
enneth Barner, of Salona and Ray (Lori) Barner, of Rote; three daughte
s, Rebecca (John) Middleworth, of State College, Susan Laubach, of Lo
ck Haven and Ann Miller, of Salona; a sister, Betty Barlow, of Lock Ha
ven; two brothers, Lloyd (Louise) Kramer, of Clintondale and Charles (
Betty) Kramer, of Rote; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. S
he was predeceased by three sisters, Mildred Schreckengast, Violet Wal
izer and Jessie Corman; three brothers, William, Max, Wilbur and Jay K
amer; a granddaughter, Alyssa Miller and a great-granddaughter, Jessi
ca Laubach. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25
, 2006, at Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall
. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at th
e funeral home, with Brother Eugene Lockard officiating. Burial will b
e at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven. Memorial contributions ma
y be made to Rote Church of Christ, in care of Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Fun
