Ruth E. (Berry) Muthler Soo, 86, of Lock Haven, passed away Saturday
, March 31, 2018 at Susque-View Nursing and Rehabilitation Home.
She was born April 25, 1931 in Salona, the daughter of the late Willia
m and Margaret (Barner) Berry.
Ruth was a member of Phelps Chapel Church, Jersey Shore. She enjoyed r
eading and flower gardening.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Randy W. (Carol) Muthler and Ricky J. Mu
thler, all of Jersey Shore; two daughters, Donna R. (Roy) Timblin of L
ock Haven and Cherie A. (Christopher) Rogers of Collomsville; a stepso
, Heath (Gretchen) Soo of Loganton; two stepdaughters, Melody (Paul
) Sagnella of Florida and Mindy (Carl, Jr.) Wilkinson of Morrisdale. T
here are also 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who also sur
vive Ruth, along with two sisters, Lillian Schwab of Bartlett, Tenn. a
d Betty Grieb of Rote.
Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her first husban
d, Raymond E. Muthler, Sr.; her second husband, William H. Soo; one so
, Raymond “Chippy” E. Muthler, Jr.; two brothers, Samuel Berry and Ke
eth Berry; one sister, Barbara Berry; and her special friend, Leste
Walker.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, April 4, fro
m 6 to 8 p.m. at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., J
ersey Shore. There will be a Tribute of Life Service at Phelps Chape
l Church, 68 Phelps Chapel Road, Jersey Shore, on Thursday, April 5 a
t 11 a.m. with a visitation 10 to 11 a.m., up until the time of the fu
eral, with Sandy Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Have
Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth’s memory to Susque-V
iew Memorial Fund, 22 Cree Drive, Lock Haven, Pa. 17745.
