Harry N. Barner, Sr. June 28, 1930 -May 8, 2007 Harry N. Barner, Sr.
, 76, of RD 1 Box 85 (Samuelson Rd.) Youngsville, passed away at 5:3
0 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at home. Mr. Barner was born in Bellefont
e on June 28, 1930, the son of the late Earl Thomas and Sarah Catherin
e (Caldwell) Barner. He was self employed and had owned and operated t
he Shortway Meat Market in Milesburg. He also had farmed, was in const
uction, hauled logs, was in the ice business, and cut and sold firewo
od, and he especially enjoyed gardening. He served in the U.S. Army i
the Korean War. He was the husband of Janet P. (Emel) Barner. whom h
e married in 1960 of Youngsville Also surviving are: daughter(s): Joyc
e A. Hoffman of Bellefonte, Centre Co, PA;
and a brother, Harold Barner
of Zion, Pa.
Also surviving are 14
grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by
his brothers, Tom, Bob and
Eddie; and sisters, Rosie and
Patti.
No services will be ob-
served. A private burial will
be held at the convenience of
the family. The McKinney
Funeral Homes and Cremation
Services Inc., in Youngsville,
is in charge of arrangements.
