Ethel C. Rockey January 20, 1929 June 9, 2013 Ethel C. Rockey, 84, pas
sed away peacefully at Wynwood House in Centre Hall, on June 9, 2013
. She was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Castanea, a daughter of Richard H. an
d Viola E. (Boone) McCaleb. A graduate of Lock Haven High School, sh
e owned and operated Rockey's Drive In Restaurant and Rockey's Auto Sa
les on Hogan Boulevard in Mill Hall. A devoted daughter, caring sister
, dedicated wife and loving mother, Ethel found her greatest joy in nu
turing children and being a nanny for several families. She was an ac
tive member in the First Baptist Church in Lock Haven, relocating to B
ellefonte in 1982. She attended Park Forest Baptist Church in State Co
llege and enjoyed many years of teaching Sunday school. Preceded in de
ath by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Rockey; along with her siste
, Barbara Ruth Heimer; and a daughter, Barbara Jean. She is survive
d by five sons, Richard E. Rockey (Anna), of Mill Hall, Gary R. Rocke
y (Pamela), of Lock Haven, Jonathan E. Rockey (Judy), of State College
, Steven E.H. Rockey (Mary), of OH, Keith N. Rockey (Lori), of Danvill
e; a daughter, Patricia E. Hoffman (Randolph) of Centre Hall; 17 grand
children; and three great-grandchildren. A public visitation will be h
eld on Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 12:30 p.m., at Wetzler Funeral Se
vice, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, Centre Co, PA 16823. The f
uneral service will follow visitation at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home
, with Pastor Steven E.H. Rockey and Pastor K.R. Mele officiating. Bur
ial will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery, Marion Township. Memorial co

Ethel C. Rockey, 84, passed away peacefully at Wynwood House in Centr
e Hall, on Saturday, June 9, 2013.
She was born Jan. 20, 1929 in Castanea, a daughter of Richard H. and V
iola E. (Boone) McCaleb.
A graduate of Lock Haven High School, she owned and operated Rockey'
s Drive In Restaurant and Rockey's Auto Sales on Hogan Boulevard, Mil
l Hall.
A devoted daughter, caring sister, dedicated wife and loving mother, E
thel found her greatest joy in nurturing children and being a nanny fo
several families.
She was an active member in the First Baptist Church in Lock Haven, re
locating to Bellefonte in 1982. She attended Park Forest Baptist Churc
h in State College and enjoyed many years of teaching Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Rockey
