Evelyn L. Fogel
Evelyn L. Fogel LEBANON Evelyn L. (Long) Fogel, 93, entered into res
t on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon
. She was the wife of the late Monroe L. Fogel. Evelyn was born on Ma
y 24, 1920, in Liverpool, a daughter of the late Chester and Marion (B
ierly) Long. She was a 1937 graduate of Millerstown High School. Evely
was employed by the Lebanon Valley General Hospital and later with t
he Good Samaritan Hospital as Director of Volunteers and was previousl
y employed at the Lebanon Paper Box Company. She was a active member o
f Kochenderfer United Methodist Church, and was a former president o
f the United Methodist Womens organization. Evelyn was also chairman f
or the Lebanon Valley Fairs, and volunteered at Ebenezer Elementary sc
hool. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and was known for her apple pies, s
pending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-g
andchildren. Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Karen Book of L
ebanon, and Lenny Baumbaugh and her husband David of Harrisburg; fou
grandchildren; Lisa Book-Confer and her husband John, Andrew Book, L
ara Book-Freet and her husband Jon, and Randi Paskevich and her husban
d Michael and six great-grandchildren. Evelyn was the last of her imme
diate family and was preceded by two brothers, Alton and Carl Long an
d a sister, Geneva Long and twin great grandsons. Friends and family a
e invited to the visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 10 a.m
. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. all from the Georg
e P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc. 606 N. Front St. Liverpool. Officiatin
g will be her pastor Rev. Matthew Heckman and assisting will be her ne
phew Donald Fogle. Burial will be made in St. John (Barner's) Church C
emetery, Liverpool. Should friends desire, memorial gifts may be give
in memory of Evelyn to her church, Kochenderfer United Methodist Chu
ch, 1105 Kochenderfer Road, Lebanon, PA 17046-1931.
