On their wedding day, Ella's mother fainted "dead away" when Ella came down the aisle of a Catholic Church - As a Protestant, she had a problem with her daughter marrying a Catholic. They were married 40 years anyway.
Ella was the aunt of Helen Mary O'Hare. She and her husband, Frank O'Hare, raised Helen from the age of 4 when her birth mother, Ellen O'Hare, died. Frank was the brother of Edward Harry O'Hare. who was Helen's birth father.
