"Mysterious Disappearance - A man named Quinten Devine left his home at No. 766 S. Third Street, on Monday night last, and has not since been heard of. He wore a black frock coat, black waistcoat and black pantaloons. His family will thankfully receive any information respecting him."

"Found Drowned - Yesterday morning the body of a drowned man was found in the Schuylkill, near the Point Breeze Gas Works. He was about five feet eight inches in height, and had on two pairs of pantaloons, one of brown cassimere and the other of black cloth; two vests, one of black satin and the other of figured velvet, and a black frock coat. It is thought to be the body of Quintin Devine, who resided at No. 766 S. Broad (sic) Street, who has been missing for some days."

"Quintin Devine - The unfortunate man who was found drowned on Thursday last in the Schuylkill, near the Point Breeze Gas Works, was buried yesterday from his late residence, No. 706 (sic) S. Third Street. The members of the St. Charles Borromeo and Continental Beneficial Societies followed him to the grave to the number of three hundred. The interment took place in the Cathedral Cemetery. The ceremonies were superintended by President, John McBride, Vice President Daniel Ferris and Secretary Jas. Sheridan, officers of both the above societies."
