Donald Wayne "Don" Breon, 62, of 510 Hemlock Lane, Jersey Shore, die
d Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at his residence.
He was born July 7, 1948 in Lock Haven, the son of Charles W. and Bert
ha Mae (Fye) Breon Sr.
Don was a 1966 graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School and he gradua
ted from Thompson's Business School in Harrisburg.
An area entrepreneur, Don was President of the Ford of Williamsport au
to dealership.
He began his business career with the opening of Breon-Lehman Recreati
onal Vehicle Sales in 1972 and soon afterward purchased the Pine Cree
k Trading Post convenience store.
In 1980, he went to work for Bill Marks Ford, Jersey Shore. He starte
d as a salesman and worked his way up the ladder to General Manager. I
1989, he became owner and operator of the dealership which later bec
ame known as Don Breon Ford and now is known as Ford of Williamsport
. He had a passion for sales and marketing.
He was past president of the New Car Dealers Association and in 1996 D
on Breon Ford received the Ford Motor Company's Chairman's Award, th
e highest award for customer satisfaction.
He was on the board of directors for the former Northern State Bank i
Williamsport. He also furthered his interest in the real estate indu
stry with local land developments and sales.
Don had a real zest for life and a great love for the outdoors and th
e Pine Creek Valley. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed m
any hunting trips throughout the years with family and friends. His wi
ters were enjoyed in Cape Haze, Fla., where he spent many times out o
his boat fishing.
Don was a member of Texas-Blockhouse Fish and Game Club, the Elks BPO
E Lodge in Jersey Shore and the National Rifle Association.
Don is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Barner) Breon, with whom he cele
brated their 42nd wedding anniversary on Sept. 21, 2010; a daughter, A
gela Williams of Florida., her husband, Lance and daughter, Rachel Em
ily; a son, Donald II of Jersey Shore, his wife, Andrea and daughter
, Lilla Dawn. He is also survived by his mother, Bertha Mae; sister-in
-law, Patty Breon and mother-in-law, Winifred Barner.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Charles "Chuc
k" Breon.
The funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Fr
ederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011
, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Tombs Run Cemetery. Minister and friend, John A
. Brindger, will officiate.

The family would like to thank doctors, nurses, friends and family fo
their many acts of kindness and support to him during his battle wit
h cancer.
