- Gloria Edith (Lucas) Barner, 69, of Milesburg, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, surrounded by her family at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. She was born on March 12, 1955, in Bellefonte, to the late George E. and Geraldine (Lutz) Lucas. She shared 23 years of marriage with her beloved husband William "Bill" Barner, who survives at home.
Gloria was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and Vo-tech in painting and decorating.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Tracy L. Shawley Hockenberry and Heather Shawley Hollebaugh, her 3 brothers, Daniel, Andy, and Franklin Lucas, and two sisters, Kathryn Fetters and her husband, Randolph Sr., and Wanda Sample. Also surviving is her special furry companion, Lilo.
She was preceded by her parents and brother, Edward Lucas.
Gloria enjoyed camping with her family and friends, playing bingo and crafting.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. Bellefonte.
