RICHARD E. DAVIDSON
DIES AFTER SURGERY
Richard Eugene Davidson, R.D. 2, 61, of Millerstown, Perry Co,
died February 15 in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Mahoning T
wp, Montour Co, PA, Danville, where he
had been a patient since January 13 for open heart surgery.
Born in Burnham, May 17 1924, he was a son of the late Harvey
Clarence and Nellie J. Betlyon Davidson. In 1951, he married the
former Margaret J. Barner.
He was a 1942 graduate of Burnham High School and was employed at
American Viscose Corp., Lewistown. He moved to his present address,
where he was employed by J. P. Russell and son Oil Co. until 1972, at
which time he founded the R. E. Davidson and Son Lawn and Garden
Supply, opening a store near his home. In 1980, he opened a branch
store along the Trail north of Selinsgrove.
He was a member of Barner's Lutheran Church, R.D. 1, Liverpool
where he held various offices; and was also a member of the Liverpool
Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Andy R. of R.D.
2, Millerstown; a granddaughter, and a stepsister.
A private funeral conducted Monday in Barner's Lutheran Church by
the Rev. Paul E. Whitmoyer and the Rev. Lon Mohundro. Burial was in
Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery Liverpool RD 1, Perr
y Co, PA. The George P. Garman Funeral Home,
Liverpool, was in charge of arrangements.
